One of Canada's most accomplished musicians, Rick comes to the "Cyrano" project with a wealth of experience and diversity. Well known for his guitar playing with such artists as Sylvia Tyson, Dan Hill, John McDermott, Quartette and Nancy White to name but a few, Rick has been turning his attention more and more to writing and producing. From his own studio "Chez Rick" he has composed and produced music for countless jingles, industrial films, documentaries as well recording several episodes of "Freaky Stories". Rick recorded the music for the TV series "Nilus The Sandman" as well as contributing to the writing. His own solo album "Polishing The Stone" combines his writing, producing and deft guitar playing resulting in a beautiful recording of instrumental acoustic music. (To visit his Web site go to the links page in this site) One of Toronto's busiest studio musicians Rick's guitar playing has been heard on jingles, records and such films as David Cronenberg's "Crash". Rick is no stranger to the world of musical theatre having played guitar for the Toronto productions of "Cats", "Les Miserables", "Needfire" (for which he was also the conductor) and his current assignment in the Lion King orchestra. Rick is the proud Papa of Dana. |
