| Michelle received her theatre training at the University of British
Columbia and began her professional life in the musical theatre. Her
career has spanned over twenty-five years during which time she has appeared
in regional theatres such as Edmonton's Citadel Theatre, the Grand Theatre
in London, Ontario, Toronto's CanadianStage, Tarragon, Factory and Young
People's Theatres, the Manitoba Theatre Centre and Montreal's Centaur
Theatre and the Saidye Bronfmann Centre. She has also performed at Canada's
major festivals: Shaw, Charlottetown, Blyth and seven seasons at Stratford.
Favourite roles include Katharina in "The Taming of the Shrew",
(Citadel/National Arts Centre) Cecily in "The Importance of
Being Ernest", (MTC) and Red Queen in "Alice Through the
Looking Glass (Stratford Festival) and, most recently, Germaine in
"Picasso at the Lapin Agile" (CanStage). Michelle enjoyed participating
in the workshop of "Cyrano" at CanStage, and is very pleased to have
been asked to repeat her role as Mother Marguerite in this
CD performance. |
